I love the work I have been called to do as a therapist. It never escapes me how lucky I am to be with someone as they heal from deep wounding, get in touch with their vitality, and grow into a more authentic expression of themselves.  I believe there is light inside every person seeking to come forward and my work, as I see it, is to help my clients carve a path for that light.  I’ve had the privilege of working with people through many stages of development, and I’ve been the beneficiary of excellent therapy myself, so I know what it feels like to be on both sides.

My dream of becoming a therapist brought me from working a finance job in midtown Manhattan to the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I earned a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology.  I am grateful to have a career that allows me to express the deepest and most authentic parts of myself, and to use this honest expression as a way to connect with people who are looking for a better way to be in the world.

My office is located in Oakland on Bellevue Ave near Grand Ave in The Farol building, which is easily accessible from Berkeley and Alameda.  I specialize in treating alcoholism, addiction, recovery, adult children of alcoholics, anxiety, depression and trauma associated with neglect and abuse including sexual abuse. I also enjoy working with people's dreams and issues facing LGBT, queer and gender-queer adults and children. My practice is trauma informed, Gestalt, holistic, transpersonal, somatic, and mindful.
